Notice: This policy explains how GentleCAJ, the online CAJ-to-PDF conversion service (the "Service"), collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information. Please pay particular attention to the bolded clauses; if you have questions, you can reach us via Contact Us.
1. Who we are
- The Service is operated by Xiamen Jingdu Network Technology Co., Ltd. (website: gentleltd.cn), which is the personal information handler described in this policy.
- Personal information affairs email: official@biz.gentleltd.cn.
- Scope: This policy applies to all scenarios in which you use the Service via caj.gentleltd.cn / gentlecaj.cn.
2. Information we collect
Following the principles of lawfulness, fairness, necessity and good faith, we collect only the information necessary for the features:

We do not proactively collect sensitive personal information such as ID numbers, biometric data or financial accounts, nor do we ask for information unrelated to the features of the Service.
3. Sensitive personal information
The Service does not involve the processing of sensitive personal information. CAJ documents may contain personal information or protected academic content; please make sure you have the right to process any file you upload, and do not upload files containing sensitive personal information that you have no right to process.
4. How we use information
- Purposes: providing and maintaining the conversion features you request (upload, conversion, preview and download); safeguarding security and preventing abuse (rate limiting, anti-abuse); necessary service statistics.
- Legal basis: necessity for performing our agreement with you, or your consent.
- Payment and orders are handled within the necessary scope by the Lite Lake User Center (operated by the same operator); storage, statistics and gateway systems within the same handler do not constitute provision to outside parties.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party ad targeting.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
- We use necessary cookies to maintain sign-in sessions and language preferences.
- To understand how the Service is running, troubleshoot and improve the experience, we use our self-built analytics system; the site also uses Baidu Tongji for traffic statistics. This information is used only for aggregate analysis, performance diagnostics and security protection, not for third-party ad targeting.
- This site uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd) for traffic statistics; Google processes data under its own policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
- This site uses Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft) for page behaviour analysis: https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement
- You may restrict or delete cookies through browser settings; disabling them may affect features that rely on sessions such as sign-in, but does not affect anonymous use of the core conversion feature.
6. Storage location, retention and security
- Storage location: the storage and processing of your personal information for the Service take place within the People's Republic of China.

- Security measures: encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest, least-privilege access. If a personal information security incident occurs, we will notify you and report to the competent authorities in accordance with the law.
7. Your rights
You may email official@biz.gentleltd.cn (subject: "GentleCAJ Privacy Request") to access, copy, correct, supplement, delete your information, withdraw consent, cancel your account or request data portability. We will respond within 15 business days. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it; refusing or withdrawing consent does not affect your use of features that do not require that information (such as anonymous conversion).
8. Minors
The Service is not directed at minors. Children under 14 should not register or submit personal information; if a guardian discovers that a child has submitted personal information, they may contact us for deletion and we will act promptly.
9. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy from time to time and will publish the revised version on this page. Material changes (to the scope of collection, purposes, recipients, etc.) will be notified via in-site announcements or similar means; where laws or regulations require renewed consent, we will obtain it as required.
